Winter Experiences

Answered prayers

God I really thank you for answering my prayers as I continue to witness to my peers and be a light to those who surround me in my life.

It’s been an amazing journey throughout this winter break. I shared a couple weeks ago that I prayed that God will do great things through my own testimony and He did. Two weeks ago I went up to Prescott pines to be a counselor for NWCBC youth group winter retreat. On the first night I shared my testimony to the youth group of how Gods’ love changed my life. I believe so heartily that the kids took it to heart of what I shared with them. It was encouraging just to see how God really worked in that environment as the youth boys opened up and started to heal from their brokenness. Couple of the other guy counselors shared in that group and I believe of what they said was very powerful. I really thank them for opening up and just be a beacon of light to these boys. It’s been really awesome as for me and the other guy counselors were able to minister to these boys as we continue to encourage and love on them. I pray continually this relationship that me and the other guy counselors will continue to follow up with them as we don’t just stop at winter camp.

Personal Growth

Throughout the rest of my break I’ve just been excited of what God has in stored for me.  There have been countless moments that I’m just passionate about Jesus and witnessing the Gospel to my peers and family. Recently, I asked my dad if he would pray with me before I go off to school each day to create a closer relationship as father and son. Also, I just thought it would be really cool to have our relationship be centered on Christ rather then just always talking about grades or whatever. I personally think this will be a perfect opportunity to encourage and explain to each other of what really going on in our lives. I’m excited :)
